I recently purchased a couple of lots of this exceptionally rare wood. Not much is available since the area was flooded to make a resivoir. Unique to this wood is a terrific herring bone or zig zag pattern. Another interesting quailty is the agate which normally infuses the wood, is in this case an opalite. It comes in a light and dark variety, right now I only have the dark for sale. Slabs are small and as with any petrified wood there are fractures to work around. Some slices have tiny holes where the opalite didn't fill in adding a little variation to the cab. This slab will make a couple of nice small cabs suiable for anecklace or bracelet.
This slab measures 3" x 2.25" at the widest points, and has a slight taper from 1/4" to 3/16".
