This slab of lavic jasper has wonderful color with red and gold plume designs and contrasting black radiating lines. It measures 6 x 2 x 1/4 inches. It does have some vugs and drusy pockets. There are a few healed fractures, maybe hematitie veins.
I have worked this material and it is very hard and takes a high polish. The black lines are indeed hematite and polish to a metalic luster.
