Lovely San Simeon Creek brecciated Jasper in a skim-milk colored quartz. The tan colored jasper is all surrounded by by a white border of opalite, and the milky white quartz has a bit of salmon colored veining here and there. This is a heel-cut of a larger cobble. This came from near Hearst Castle out on the central California Coast. There some some fissures or vugs assouciated with some old healed fault fracture lines. I would treat these lines with hot stuff prior to working on them, just to be on the safe side.
