Unknown Location for this thunderegg slab; It has an complex array of mossy fibers within the agate core. I sliced this slab off a thunderegg that sold several weeks ago, whilst trying to get an understanding of the wierd looking moss.

Most all of the eggs I have listed came from a Rockhound's estate over in Hollister Calif. Many of the eggs were stored in antique wooden Orchard Supply Hardware boxes, circa 1930's-1940's. Most of these eggs with the reddish brown host rock appear to be North Black Hills Thunder Eggs. This area is west of Blythe, California. Some of the old time beds in the North Black Hills are: Joel Hauser Beds, and his Potatoe Patch beds; Hidden Saddle Beds, Cinnamon Beds, and the Black Agate Thunderegg Mine. Also noteworthy nearby locations include Straw Beds (sagenite straws) and the Chocolate Mountains.
