Carnelian Agate
Size: 3 x 2 1/4 inches Thickness: 1/4 inch (7mm) Weight: 1.7 oz, 49 grams, 241 carats Form: rough slab, unpolished Approximate Hardness (Moh's): 6-7 Transparency: Opaque Locality:Madagascar Notes:Very fine banding in this agate makes it a beautiful piece to work with. It is thick enough to make some outstanding cabochons, or it could just be polished and set on a stand. Either way, it is a beautiful work of nature. Flaws:It has a well-defined vug that could look great in a cabochon. Another less interesting vug in the very top of the slab. NOTE: this is a front and back view, NOT 2 separate pieces!
This is an actual photograph of the slab you get. If you have ANY questions, please ask! I would rather answer questions BEFORE you bid!
Please read all terms before bidding!
About us:
If you don't see what you want in our store, ask. I might have it sitting around. I have a ton of rock that I have yet to process. Taking pictures and making listings is my biggest pain. I may also have more of what is listed. I don't put it all up at once. I prefer a variety. I don't like cutting the same thing all the time, and I like giving you a broader choice, so I only put up a few slabs at a time.. Also, living in Arizona during the winter, I can get just about anything...during the winter!
I have been working with rocks for around 25 years. In fact, I just found a little flat lap that my Gramma gave me 40 years ago! I am no expert yet, but I have picked up quite a bit of knowledge. Although I can make some pretty nice cabochons, I now prefer just offering slabs. I also cut other people's rocks for $3 per cut. We spend the winter near Quartzsite, Arizona and the summer near Riverton, Wyoming. I have numerous saws in both locations. (10 at last count) I am retired from the US Air Force, and this keeps me busy. Adrienne makes jewelry. Sometimes I will make her a cabochon to use. It works out nicely!
Payment information: Payment must be received within 15 days of the end of the auction. If there is a problem, CONTACT me!
Combining: If you buy more than 1 slab, let me send an invoice. I can usually save you a buck or two. For a ballpark figure, start with 4 ounces for shipping material, then add the individual ounces of the slabs together. If you can stay under 16 ounces, then the slabs can be shipped together.
Slabs can be combined with other slabs, cabochons and tumblers (shipped USPS from AZ or WY). They cannot be combined with Inland equipment, which is UPS only and shipped from Michigan.
Warranty information: Please allow 7-14 days for delivery after processing, especially during holidays.
Returns: All items are guaranteed to be as described and to be free of unseen defects. I cut the slab and I stand behind it. If you don't like it, send it back. Shipping and handling is nonrefundable. If you do not agree with our terms, please do not bid.
If you have questions, we'll be happy to answer them. Please submit your valid user ID with your questions. We reserve the right to refuse information to and bids from users with nasty negs, private feedback, invalid IDs, or who are otherwise rude or discourteous. We will file a non-paying bidder complaint after 15 days if you don't contact us.
