Wild Horse Jasper
Wild Horse Jasper is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz, and a member of the Chalcedony family. It often contains organic material and iron oxides that account for its interesting patterns, bands, and colors.
The name Jasper means “spotted stone”, and is ultimately derived from the Persian word 'yashp'.
The name Wild Horse Jasper is derived from the location in which it is mined, at the Wild Horse Canyon in Oregon
This slab measures 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 1/4 up to 5/8" where it did not come off the saw clean. It is very solid and will produce many colorful cabochons.
As with any of natures works there may be fractures and or pits in any rock. Please view the photos of both sides wet and dry before bidding. Use the enlarge feature to view the slab close up!
