Many members are seeing old pages that are stored on PC's everytime we open a webpage. Here is how to clean the old pages out and view the new ones:

How do I clear my Internet browser history?

As you browse the Internet, each of the items you view are saved locally on your hard disk drive. This helps web pages you visit frequently load faster by loading the files from you hard disk drive instead of having to downloading the web page again. To conserve hard disk drive space or to help keep their Internet browsing private, users may find it necessary to delete their Internet History.

our Mystery Slab Contest Winner!

Thank you to all who entered and bid your penny for a chance in the drawing. We will leave you feedback for your bid.
Keep looking for future contests, the next one begins May 1st!

Do I have your attention now? Yep you read it correctly. No listing fees sign up and pay your monthly store fee and purchase your banner ad, we will give you unlimited credit towards all listing fees! Try out all the features absolutly free. This feature is not valid unless you purchase a store. Non Store owners will be required to pay all associated listing fees. Listing credits may not be used for Banner fees or Store Subscriptions.

Tired of lugging all those rocks to and from the various shows? Try our auction site and keep what you earn! We need quality sellers and buyers interested in expanding the competitive market within the lapidary trade. Buyers get the bonus of lower prices because of the reduced listing fees and NO FINAL VALUE FEES! Finally, an auction site where the customer is valued more than the dollar. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.

Each seller who purchases a store has an additional benefit not listed in the fine print. We publish a featured seller page once a month. This page has additional advertising on several blogs as well as a variety of search engines. The page consists of a brief biography of the seller and a featured item, which is a direct link to that item in their store, as well as their banner, this also is a link to their store. The cost for this additional advertising, absolutely Free!

As we continue to grow, we realize sales are not quite, what are needed to be profitable yet! We have removed the listing fees from the auction site to allow the seller to post as many items as their store will hold, enabling the site to provide a wide range of quality merchandise. In turn, this will attract more repeat buyers and help to keep their interest longer. This will remain in effect until we notice a continuous flow of sales, at which time we will resume our low fees! What we would like in return is for all store holders to maintain their store with as much inventory as possible, (remember you can auto-relist up to 10 times), notify your customers of your new auctions on Dragonsaye Auctions and buy your banner ad. We are confident that if everyone does his or her part, we will be a great success!

Thank you again to all our members who keep speading the word! We are continuing to grow, click on the stats link below to view. We are just under 1/2 million hits for last month! Awesome!

We have been working on the invoices and have fixed the script. What we need now is for all of our members to check and see if anyone has the "Paypal Override" area filled out as listed below. All you are doing is adding the address to ship to on the invoice. You may skip the phone number if you want to keep that private. We do NOT share this information and do our very best to keep your information private. Our sellers have had some difficulty with payments and invoices getting to the buyers and this is the reason for this update. If you need help please feel free to contact us.
Update steps:
1. log in
2. go to members area and find "My account"
3. click "manage account"
4. check the paypal override box
5. fill in the requested information
6. scroll to the bottom and click "update"
Thank you,
Dragon & Donna

Wet Slabs vs Dry slabs

Yes wet slabs do show how the material will look when polished. However, wet slabs also hide many of the imperfections associated with rocks, such as vugs, fractures and non cabbable areas. Most sellers on auction sites are reputable and will
inform the buyer of these troublesome spots through the text associated with the auction. Some sellers rely upon the customer to ask the questions and their knowledge of rocks to know what to expect. And then there are sellers whose main intent is to sell whatever they can for as much as they can regardless of the quality. How many of you, experienced or not , have bought slabs only to receive it and find it virtually useless? You go back to the listing to see if you missed something in the description or the photo, but what you hold barely resembles the photo. You add water and lo and behold the photo magically appears in your hand. You are now left with a slab which at best will make a paperweight but not that special cab you envisioned. You contact the seller, the good ones will make it up but they continue to follow the same pattern of minimal information. The bad ones assume you are trying to rip them off and sometimes become problematic. Everyone wants to keep their reputation intact so as a buyer you try to be as nice as possible only to be left less than satisfied. What sellers must remember is at one time we were all buyers , but we have lost the focus of what it means to be a good seller. I believe the best policy for good sales is to show both wet and dry photos as well as to point out possible problem areas. This will help the novice as well as the seasoned artisan whose monitor or eyesight may not be what it used to be. Be as descriptive in your text as possible and be willing to listen to a customer if they approach you with concern for their purchase.
On the other hand, there are some customers that just cannot be pleased. That will have to be addressed at some time and a good seller will have that already in their plan of action. My personal way of dealing with this type of buyer is to satisfy the moment and remove the prospect of it happening again. Together sellers and buyers can make any auction a fun experience for everyone!
